Newly commissioned for our Possession Obsession museum shop, Giles Round & Casa Estudio’s The Maroon Bells Tote blurs boundaries between art, design, and accessories, taking inspiration from the trademarks of Pop Art and the iconic Maroon Bells near Aspen. Its bold and catchy imagery plays with recognizability and mundanity, nodding to the immediate, witty, sexy, and gimmicky nature of popular culture items. Its fine wool makes it an ideal item for the winter, a must-have for Aspen visitors and local and distant fans alike.

Giles Round is an artist living and working in London & St Leonards on Sea. He works across disciplines – including art, design, and architecture – through various techniques and approaches, including ceramics, furniture, painting, print, and sculpture. Recent exhibitions include Quench, Margate (2021); Brighton CCA, Brighton (2020); The Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire (2018); Wellcome Collection, London (2018); Goswell Road, Paris (2018); Spike Island, Bristol (2017).

Casa Estudio is a design studio founded by Round and designer Andrés Ros Soto. Focusing on the design of exhibitions, furniture, and print, their work is characterized by bold use of color, pattern, and geometry.
